Crash games and Aviator: how they work and where to play from Nigeria
Crash games are among the most searched casino games in Nigeria, with Aviator the best-known title. The idea is simple: a multiplier starts at 1.00x and climbs until it suddenly "crashes". You win if you cash out before the crash, and lose your stake if you do not.
How a round works
- Place a bet before the round starts. Many crash games let you place two bets at once.
- The multiplier rises from 1.00x: 1.50x, 2x, 5x and sometimes much higher.
- Cash out at any moment. Your payout is your stake times the multiplier at that moment: ₦1,000 cashed out at 2.40x returns ₦2,400.
- The crash. At a random point the round ends. Any bet still in play is lost. Some rounds crash almost immediately, at 1.00x.
Auto cash-out
Most crash games have an auto cash-out setting: you choose a multiplier, for example 1.80x, and the game cashes out for you if the round gets there. It does not raise your chances; it only stops you from waiting too long out of excitement.
Is there a strategy that works?
No. Each round's crash point is random and independent of the rounds before it. Low targets such as 1.20x win often but pay little; high targets pay a lot but rarely hit. Over time the house edge applies whatever target you choose. Doubling your bet after losses, a common tip on Telegram channels, only makes losses bigger and faster. Be wary of anyone selling "Aviator predictors" or signals: they cannot know the next result.
Aviator and other crash titles
Aviator is made by the studio Spribe and appears at many casinos and sportsbooks. Crypto casinos often also have their own crash game in their in-house "originals" section, and there are many similar titles with a plane, rocket or chicken instead of a line. The rules are the same: a rising multiplier and a cash-out button.

Play it safely
- Rounds last seconds, so money goes fast. Set a budget for the session and stop when it is gone.
- Do not chase losses with bigger bets.
- Use the demo mode, where the casino offers one, to learn the game without risking money.
- If play stops being fun, read our responsible gambling guide.
